What is Witilo?
Witilo is a free brain games app for adults on iPhone and iPad. It has 50 short puzzles that train memory, attention and focus, reading speed, reaction time, mental flexibility and logic. Every day it picks three games for you, and the workout takes about five minutes.
Is Witilo free?
Yes. You can play every day for free: the daily workout, the Path and your progress. Games use energy: you hold up to 10 and it refills over time. When you run out, you can watch a short video for extra energy. Membership is optional and removes energy limits and ads.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes. Games, energy refills, the Path and your progress all work offline, on a plane, on the subway or anywhere without Wi-Fi. Only videos for extra energy and purchases need a connection.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for. Your progress is saved automatically with your Apple ID through iCloud, and on our server under a random ID, so it comes back on a new iPhone or iPad or after a reinstall.
How long does a session take?
Rounds are short. The daily workout is three games and takes about five minutes. You can stop there or keep playing.
What games are in Witilo?

Is there an n-back game?
Yes. N-Back is one of the memory games. Pictures come one at a time at a steady beat, and you tap Match when a picture is exactly the same as the one a set number of steps back. It is 1-back at first, 2-back from level 11 and 3-back from level 38. More about the n-back game.
Is there a Stroop test game?
Yes. In Color Word a colour word is printed in coloured ink, and you tap the colour of the ink, not the colour the word names; on some rounds the rule flips. In Number Stroop you see a group of the same digit, like 3 3 3 3, and tap how many digits there are, not the digit itself. Place Word does the same with direction words. More about the Stroop games.
Who is Witilo for?
Adults and seniors who want a short daily habit for the mind, anyone who wants a break from work or study instead of scrolling, and people on commutes and flights without a connection.
Can brain games make me smarter?
Witilo is for practice and fun. It is not a medical product, and we do not promise a higher IQ or protection from memory loss: research has not shown that brain games do that. What you will see is your own practice: each skill today next to where it was a week ago.
Which languages is Witilo in?
27: English, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), French, German, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). Word and reading games are in the language of the app, except in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai, where they are in English.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later.
Are there ads?
No banners and no ads between games. The only videos are the ones you choose to watch for extra energy. Members see no ads at all.
How much does membership cost?
Membership is optional. Choose weekly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase. In the United States it is $1.99 a week, $19.99 a year or $39.99 once for lifetime. Prices in other countries are set locally and shown in the app before you buy.
How do I cancel membership?
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Witilo. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends and you will not be charged again. Lifetime is a single payment, so there is nothing to cancel.
What do you do with my data?
Very little, and nothing that names you. Read the Privacy Policy for the full list, in plain words.
